This quiet yet charming neighbourhood also boasts the beautiful attraction of Mount Eden itself where visitors can take in views of the whole city from above. For those who wish to explore the city we are just a short 10 minute bus ride which costs only $1.90. Our large, Victorian lodge is a quiet and relaxing home away from home and we are certainly not a party hostel. However, we do encourage guests to be interactive and make the most of their experiences in Auckland. We offer a range of laid back activities for guests to get involved with, shared meals, movie nights and quiz evenings. We also run regular activities with our sister hostel Bamber House such as BBQ, Laser tag and sports matches. Oaklands Lodge is now offering 200MB FREE INTERNET for our new Hostelworld guests and huge discounts on further Wi-Fi vouchers. In addition to this we also show live sports and provide a FREE movie rental service for all our guests. Oaklands guests are also able to benefit from FREE towel hire, fresh linen, extra pillows and blankets. Our office is open from 8.30am -1.00pm and 2.00pm to 8.30pm. We may be able to accommodate arrivals outside these times if you let us know when you making the booking. Our normal check in time is 12.00 noon but if you are arriving earlier than that we will do our best to have your room ready as quickly as possible.
