Property description

Quite simply the only hostel worth staying at in Brighton is St Christopher's. You'll find us on the beach ‐ next to the grand Place Pier, the marina, the restaurants ‐ cafés and bars on the promenade, and much more.

Better yet the hostel and hotel is next to the National Express coach station, and a mere 10 to 15 minute walk down to the beach from the central train station. We couldn't be easier to find!

We have 78 hostel beds and 14 private hotel rooms with some great views of the care free, seaside living in Brighton! From our beachfront base you can easily reach the oldest working aquarium in the world, the planet's oldest electric railway, the Royal Pavilion and the and the oh so cool shopping along the Lanes.

Back at the hostel and hotel you'll find our Belushi' s Bar complete with some great drink deals, the best live sports playing on the wide screen TVs and Belushi' s Below ‐ our basement nightclub. It's here where you can enjoy a regular line up of fantastic nights, including Drum and Bass on Tuesdays, Good Grooves with a little funk and Soul on Fridays and 'MOD' for it on Saturdays.

Fun Facts

The nearby Royal Pavilion was commissioned by George IV and the exotic, Indian inspired building is pure royal extravagance. Daring colours, gilded dragons and imitation bamboo staircases adorn the inner rooms and present an extravagantly apt tribute to one of the royal family's most provocative characters.

There is no shortage of shopping opportunities in Brighton with the Lanes, a swirling mass of crossing streets overflowing with off-beat treasures, and the Artists Quarter, home to local studios selling individual one-off pieces from prints and paintings to wood carvings and wrought iron furniture. Still want more then head off to North Laine for a selection of independent shops where any fashionista would feel right at home. The city centre is enclosed in a shocking one square mile, but there's so much to see and do you'll want to extend your stay so you don't miss a thing.
