A magical winding road hugs the side of the hill, ducks unders the Milkwood trees and then arrives at the Fairy Knowe like an explorer lead by luck. This stunning backpackers has masses of space, horses, dogs and a giant 'friendly' pig called Clarissa. Set on a rambling farm overlooking the sparkling lakes of the Wilderness National Park and the Touws River and surrounded by forest, bird song and soothing nature, this is the oldest homestead in Wilderness.
The combined talents of Chris & Monica have transformed the old house into a backpacker oozes personality.
It's intimate, homely, well managed and tasteful.
The property is close to the start of some wonderful hiking trails and waterfalls wherever elusive and legendary leopards lurk. If you are not looking for birds and animals in the reserve you could be horse riding on the beach, enjoying a day trip to Oudtshoorn, abseiling down a waterfall or remembering to breath on a tandem paraglide flight.
