Property description
Retreat to paradise in our self-contained, air-conditioned studio apartments. Why settle for a queen bed when you can pamper yourself in one of our King beds. Twin beds are also available. Port Douglas Retreat features traditional North Queensland architecture with the extensive use of timber in the entry, walkways and pool surrounds. Built on only two levels the building blends in with the tropical gardens that attract many native birds. Facilities include a large freeform saltwater pool (heated winter) and spacious outdoor entertainment area with gazebo and barbecues surrounded nightly by romantic mood setting gas flames. Perfect for couples or single travellers.

You will love Port Douglas' natural beauty and excellent year round climate. Its has a relaxed seaside village ambience which blends in with the vibrant atmosphere of tropical style and sophistication. Port Douglas is situated at the end of a peninsula, the tranquil waters of a natural harbour on one side of the village embrace a lively marina. The other side of the peninsula stretches the breathtaking sandy sweep of beautiful Four Mile Beach.
You can soak up the sunshine on the beach, stroll among the village shops, galleries, historic buildings and the seaside Sunday market. Play a round of golf, visit a rainforest wildlife centre, relax over sundowner drinks at a boardwalk café, or dine on a delicious tropical dinner at one of the many fine restaurants
Port Douglas is the closest gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. A natural wonder abundant with incredible biodiversity.
